MagicInfo Display Settings and Connecting to the Server

After successfully completing the MagicInfo server installation and licensing, you need to configure the required settings on the display side and connect the display to the server. To do this, first plug in your display's Ethernet cable, or set up the Wi-Fi connection if you plan to use wireless.

In the video below, you can find the initial setup steps for a Samsung professional display and the settings required to connect to the MagicInfo server. The settings are visually identical for all Samsung displays running the Tizen platform. For older platforms, the logic is the same, but the menu locations may differ.

The sequence is as follows:

  • The display must be powered on and the network connection must be completed
  • During the initial setup, the server time must not be set manually. This step should be skipped
  • The MagicInfo mode must be selected for the server connection (Lite or Premium)
  • The server IP address must be entered
  • If everything is configured correctly, a "Server time set" message should appear in the bottom-left corner of the display
  • Finally, on the remote, follow the Home > Player > Network Channel menus and switch to Samsung MagicInfo network channel mode.

Once the display is connected to the server, the following steps are performed from the MagicInfo panel.

By following the steps in the video below, your display will be connected to the server. In the next step, the display will be approved through the server and will be ready to receive content.
